Alfonso Román ha respondido a la críticas de los diputados socialistas del occidente por la situación de abandono en la que se encuentra el Monasterio de San Salvador de Cornellana
EUROPA PRESS El diputado del PP en la Junta General, Alfonso Román, ha calculado este miércoles que con el dinero que se gastó en la construcción del Centro Niemeyer de Avilés se habrían rehabilitado todos los monumentos románicos y prerrománicos de Asturias.
Así lo ha afirmado en una rueda de prensa ofrecida en Cornellana, en respuesta a la críticas de los diputados socialistas del occidente asturiano por la situación de abandono en la que se encuentra el Monasterio de San Salvador de Cornellana.
Román los ha acusado de "cinismo" por pedir explicaciones al Gobierno del PP "que tan sólo lleva unos meses gobernando", tras reconocer que ante la caída de ingresos y la situación de déficit se han caído algunos "capítulos de gastos que tenían que ver con el 1% cultural", lo que ha afectado al señalado monumento.
Así, ha criticado el "abandono reiterado del patrimonmio asturiano", por parte de las Administraciones socialistas, que han "hecho obras museos, centros de interpretación y algunas grandes obras como el Niemeyer o La Laboral. El PSOE, señala, "Ha coincidido en el Gobierno de Salas, en Asturias y España durante muchos, ¿cómo pueden pedir al PP explicaciones que lleva gobernando unos meses?".
"La situación es la que es; hay que priorizar, probablemente no sea el mejor momento para abordar una rehabilitación a fondo del monasterio", ha señalado para añadir que su partido sí recoge la propuesta de un vecino, consistente en "una rehabilitación por fases, de las que la más importante sería la del tejado". Por tanto, "si el PSOE tiene interés en dar solución al Monasterio de Cornellana, lo que tiene que hacer es dotar una partida para acometer la rehabilitación del tejado", ha señalado.
